Site Administrative Assistant
The Center for Elders Independence is a non-profit organization serving frail elders
in the East Bay. Our innovative, all-inclusive, long-term health care
program (PACE Program) provides the frail elderly with all the care they
need, allowing them to maximize their health and independence and remain
close to their family members and within the community. We are actively
seeking a Site Administrative Assistant for our new Eastmont II site!
The Position: Under the
supervision of the Site Manager, the Site Administrative Assistant provides
clerical support and maintains the clerical communications link
between the public/CEI clients, CEI
Staff and Transportation program area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer Telephones, handle radio dispatch,
route calls and correspondence.
- Copy and route transportation/diet changes daily
or as needed.
- Complete daily attendance log and monthly
statistical reports.
- Provide typing support for program staff as
needed.
- Prepare daily mail for mailings. Distribute
incoming mail.
- Greet visitors and applicants. Provide
information to potential clients.
- Utilize phone script only when answering the
phone.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years previous experience as receptionist
and/or clerk with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good telephone skills.
- Accurate typist and knowledge of word processing
spreadsheet software such as MS WORD,
- EXCEL. And the Microsoft Exchange Software.
Typing speed of 45 WPM.
- Able to work in multi-cultural and
multi-disciplinary setting.
- Exercise initiative and flexibility.
